Double Chocolate Donut

Pish posh! A comment a friend recently made has stuck in my mind. He said, "People in fashion don't eat." Could he be right? I don't know. But I do know that I work in fashion and I LOVE to eat. Probably too much for my own good. Needless to say, if it was between an expensive chic boot, which would leave me not being able to afford to properly eat for a couple weeks, I would shamefully choose to purchase the boot.
Last night validated my love for all-things yummy (and chocolate). An outting to Dunkin Donuts with my best gal pals resulted in me engulfing a double chocolate donut and an ice cream concoction that was befittingly named Oreo Outrageous. I am shocked that I didn't go into a diabetic coma, but my belly is fully satisfied.
The pressure to be thin will always be the elephant in the room in the fashion industry, but I know that as long as I am healthy and taking care of my body, I won't have to worry about starving myself to achieve the perfect build. Although, eating a donut and ice cream isn't exactly helping my figure, ha!

You're totally right ! as long as you feel good and you are healthy - it doesn't matter !! and good for you for embracing it - I LOVE SWEETS.... don't know what I would do if I couldn't get a sugar rush every day... and don't worry about the diabetes, you are still young so balance out the sugar with fruits/veggies and other healthy things!
Your blog is too funny :) I found this post amusing because my parents own a donut shop! People are always asking me how is it that I can still fit through the door.

there is a pressure to stay thin regardless of the industries but in fashion especially.
looking at the pic, i can only say yum yum.
Being healthy is definitely more important than being thin- a lesson that I'm only halfway done learning...
I feel just as good after eating as after exercising...I love food too much to give it up in the name of fashion. psh.
I think you are right, people in fashion don't eat that much and sugar one time a month I guess...however, first of all, we must feel and be happy...life is too short!

As long as you feel good and are healthy, I say there is nothing wrong with indulging yourself at times.

And I agree with the other comments, being healthy is most important.
sadly whenever i say i model..the first thing people have to ask is..so do you eat? i'm so tired of explaining my blessed metabolism sometimes i want to say" um yeah then i barf it out"... and prance off with my nose in the air. because secretly that's what people think no matter WHAT u tell them...ugh. life.

i think that's a teriffic attitude to have about food. I'm a fashion junkie AND total foodie. nothing wrong with that :)
I think you are right here! There is a lot of pressure to stay skinny and people would do anything for it!

Sure I might throw some comments here and there about starving and not eating but its for an exaggerated and joke factor. But I get people asking me all the time whether I eat or not because i work in fashion myself too. . .It gets frustrating yes but I learn to just laugh it off!
